Acknowledgement Due Dates
Can I Set a Custom Date for a Document or Policy Due in Handbook?
At this time, Handbook does not support setting a custom due date for documents or policies. We’ve made this choice to ensure a more efficient and automated experience for our users.
Here’s why:
- Immediate Due Date Upon Publishing: Once you publish a policy or document, it is immediately due for your employees. This is because our platform is designed to prompt employees to acknowledge and sign off on policies as soon as they are made available (we call this Publishing in Handbook). This ensures that your team is always up to date and compliant, without unnecessary delays.
- Automatic Enrollment via Payroll Integration: With our seamless payroll integration, users are automatically enrolled in the policy acknowledgment process based on your selections. As soon as a policy is published, employees are placed directly into the acknowledgment queue for their documents and receive reminders to sign off. Since this is automated, setting a custom due date wouldn't align with the automatic workflow and might create confusion or missed deadlines.
We’ve designed Handbook to simplify policy distribution and compliance. By eliminating the need for custom due dates, we streamline the process, ensuring that policies are always reviewed and acknowledged in a timely manner, without the added complexity of managing individual deadlines. This approach helps you maintain consistency and keeps everything on track effortlessly.
If you have specific needs or ideas for future features, we’re always eager to hear from you and continuously work to improve the platform!
