Restoring Archived Documents
If you’ve archived a document in Handbook and need to bring it back into your active workspace, restoring it is a quick and simple process. Just follow the steps below to restore your archived document:
Steps to Restore an Archived Document:
Go to the "Edit Handbook" Page
First, navigate to the Edit Handbook page from your Handbook dashboard. This is where you can manage your documents and content.
Use the Status Filter
On the right-hand side of the page, you'll see a Status search filter.
- Click on the filter dropdown and select Archived.
This will display only the documents that are currently archived.
Select the Document to Restore
Browse through the list of archived documents. Once you find the document you want to restore, click on it to highlight it.
Click "Restore"
After selecting the document, click the Restore button (usually found near the top or bottom of the document list).
- This action will restore the document to your active workspace, making it available for use again.
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Archived Documents: Archiving a document removes it from your active workspace but does not delete it. It’s still accessible and searchable at any time.
- Restoration: Restoring the document will move it back into your active document list, where it can be edited or shared again.
- Reports: Archived documents no longer show in reports.
- Search: You can always search for restored documents using the search bar or by adjusting the status filter.
