In Handbook, tracking document performance and employee engagement is essential for ensuring your policies, procedures, and training content are effective. Here's how you can easily access and understand both the Activity Summary for individual documents and the Reports page for more in-depth analytics.

1. Activity Summary: Quick Overview of Document Stats
The Activity Summary gives you a quick snapshot of how your documents are performing. It's the quickest and easiest way to see who has acknowledged your document in a human-friendly way. It has all of the key stats you'd expect and is accessed from the Edit Handbook page. This includes stats such as:
- Who has and has not acknowledged the document
- Their pre-test and post-test scores
- Video stats, including:
- Skips
- Mutes
- Stops
- Tab switches
- Engagement data like:
- Viewing time
- Progress tracking

To view the Activity Summary of any document:
- Go to Edit Handbook: Log into Handbook and click Edit Handbook on the left hand menu.
- Click on the Item Under "Acknowledged By": In the same row as the document, you’ll see the “Acknowledged By” section. Click on the document you wish to see the Activity Summary for.
This will give you a quick, at-a-glance look at who has interacted with your document and how well it’s being engaged with, helping you identify any potential gaps in understanding or compliance.

2. Reports: In-Depth Document & Employee Engagement Stats
If you need a more detailed breakdown of your documents and employee engagement, the Reports page is the place to go. The Reports section offers comprehensive reporting features, including:
- Acknowledgements across all documents
- Detailed video engagement (e.g., views, skips, and mutes)
- Employee compliance status across your entire team or individual employees
- Advanced filtering options to drill down into specific data
To view Reports:
- Select "Reports" from the left sidebar of your Handbook account. This will take you to the main reporting page.
From here, you can filter data by various parameters, such as date range, user group, or specific documents. Reports can also be exported to PDF or Excel for easy sharing and analysis.
Why do I see duplicates in the All Document Acknowledgements table?
While they may seem like duplictaes, the All Document Acknowledgements table on the Reports page includes all acknowledgements that ever occurred for all documents. If a team member has acknowledged a document several times, you'll see every acknowledgments in this section. If this is confusing to you, we would suggest reviewing the Activity Summary (described above) which is much more simplified.
3. Compliance by Location
If you want to view compliance data by location, you can see the overall Compliance Score for each location directly on the Locations page. This gives you a clear view of how each office or team is performing in terms of document sign-offs and training completion.
To view Compliance by Location:
- Go to the Locations page from the Handbook dashboard.
- Review the Compliance Score for each location to get a quick understanding of engagement at different physical locations or departments.
Alternatively, if you're already on the Reports page, you can use the location filter to view compliance data and other relevant stats based on location, giving you an even deeper level of insight.
